ABHYUDAYA

India’s youthful man power, a result of the demographic dividend, need to be provided with skill and ability to tackle global
challenges. The more we give importance to skill development the more competent youth will be. It is important to prepare for them today itself.

          Skill development training for more than 25000 youths in a year from marginalized and vulnerable communities residing within the territory of Kerala, especially Palakkad district. 120 youth from colleges, youth clubs and other community organizations are trained in the first batch in coordination with EKTA parishad. It aims to bridge the social, technological and physiological gap within the society.

LAKSHYA

Palakkad has got the highest dropout rate in schools between SSLC and HSS among the districts of Kerala expecting 6000 youth and covering 26 institutions in Palakkad district of Kerala. CLSL functions the project under the supervision of the Nemmara legislative assembly to uplift dropout youth to a standard level through academic and non-academic support.

PRITHVI

This project aims to protect the environment that we live in and to allow people to imbibe knowledge of ecology and its roles towards human existence. It envisages educating people on various environmental management programs and cop with pre or post natural disasters and environmental changes. CLSL takes greater responsibilities with the support from district disaster management authority (DDMA) in delivering essentials as it aids to risk reducing and threatening life events. And it involved rescue operations and provided temporary shelters. CLSL also provided health camps.

PARIVARTHAN

Empowering rural women is necessary on the present scenario. Project Parivartan works on women empowerment especially in rural women. It is so important for women self-esteem and also for societies, having self- esteem helps you to determine who you are, what you want, and deserve. The project opens a window for women to the mainstream of the society through continuous skill training and interactive sessions with eminent personalities from various fields. Thus it makes the women to realize their goals and maximize their potential.

RAKSHA

Raksha is a project started in association with Amruthavahini homeo clinic to provide medical services to all needy individuals who have less accessibility to medical services. The project is running successfully for three years in the Tribal settlements of Palakkad district. This project reduced the difficulty of tribal people in accessing the medical services. They are provided with free medicines and medical check-ups in an adequate interval of time. Students are provided with vaccinations.

DISHA

Nowadays social issues like Domestic violence and Adolescent issues are very prevalent. Suicidal tendencies among adolescents are arousing day by day. Project Disa provides free counselling to those who suffer and needs special attention. By providing counselling they become courageous and confident to live a healthy life Cases referred by Janamythri station as well as cases from other sources will get free counselling. 

VAYANAMOOLA

This project started with a mission “Ignite the habit of reading”. It offers an easily accessible rural library platform. It started working from 2018 at CLSL office Vallangi. The library has a collection of attractive books that was collected from writers, Journalists and CLSL volunteers. The service is available for the readers at free of cost. Vayanamoola fires up your imagination and stimulates the memory centers of your mind it helps recall information as well as stabilize your emotions. The importance of a reading habit is that it strengthens mental muscles.

NERVAZHI

During this era of increasing crimes in the society, Project Nervazhi in coordination with The department of social justice and directly through district probation offices helps in reducing the incidence of crime among the offenders between the age of 18-25. This project includes 3 months training in personality development, life skills and yoga and a certified vocational course. It also helps to improve persons mental wellbeing and create mental clarity and calmness. The project Nervazhi increases the accessibility to jobs and a better life to those accused personalities. It is possible that they acquire a status that the society where they were not accepted once.

NAIVEDYA

Agriculture as part of the save the farmers program CLSL bought the vegetable from  the farmers directly which helped the farmers to gain profit while they were facing lose due to pandemic and we distributed the vegetable kit among the people for free.

     We bought almost 30 tons of vegetables from them and distributed. CLSL almost covered 6000 houses in providing free food and vegetable kit. Another successful measure they took was construction of a free vegetable shop. Whoever comes there can have vegetables for free.

SAVE MANGO FARMERS PROJECT

            CLSL bought mangos from the farmers of Muthalamada where the most mango harvest is done in Kerala as part of save Muthalamada program. Thus we introduced virtual marketing method by buying mangos directly from the farmers and sold it all over Kerala. We sold almost 60 tons of mangos. Thereby CLSL helped both the farmers and the people who are stuck inside their home due to pandemic. 

Koodu("കൂട് ")

Is a unit of CLSL working towards the mental health of Lactating Mother’s and Pregnant women. And also serving among adolescents, family and children by providing counseling and training based on Psychological development
